RESTORE BIRMINGHAM
The City proposes a community-based initiative to prevent and intervene in youth violent criminal activity, while providing trauma-informed support and resources to better prepare justice-involved youth seeking to re-enter academic or workforce environments as law-abiding residents. Specifically, the proposal advances the following goals:

GOAL 1: Expand services and resources for RESTORE pilot participants, ages 16 to 19

GOAL 2: Engage in community-informed planning to design and launch RESTORE prevention, intervention and reentry services to youth ages 11 to 15

GOAL 3: Enhance the City’s current public safety agenda to include an actionable strategic plan for youth crime reduction, equitable justice policies, and evidence-based programming
